In case you needed more evidence that the minimalist interior movement is over and maximalism is well and truly in, steel yourself for news of the most exciting homeware collaboration to hit any self-respecting millennial woman's life.
Coming in September, Habitat has collaborated with Shrimps designer Hannah Weiland on a new line of home furnishings. Anyone with even a passing understanding of the Shrimps brand will know, of course, that with Hannah at the helm, it's going to be magnificently eccentric.
Speaking to Vogue yesterday, Hannah said we can expect to revisit some Shrimps aesthetics from years gone by. "We’ve gone back to the archives for this collaboration, bringing together artworks and ideas from different seasons, re-working our favourite characters and designs that have all been part of the Shrimps family over the years," she says.
She says there's going to be an "ethereal theme" to the collection: "Make-believe creatures, Venetian jesters, doodled faces – based around a palette of pink and red, interspersed with pops of gold and Breton stripe." There might even, she teased, be a hint of the faux fur that's so synonymous with the Shrimps brand.
We'll bring you more news and pictures as and when it's available but for now, start making room in your house for the following items: rugs, throws, bedspreads, cushions and wall art.
