There's something about summer gets us so hot and bothered. Is it the reduction in clothing? The vitamin D energy boost? The prospect of going on holiday and having a summer fling like in the films? Whatever it is, sitting down to watch summer romance movies and build up all of our outlandish expectations starts to feel like a need once the warm months arrive.
Maybe we all just crave a summer fling because it (usually) looks irresistible on the big screen. Who hasn't fantasised about a sexy lifeguard, charming local at your holiday destination, or fellow traveller from out of town? Don't most flights and train journeys begin with a silent prayer that some stunning adventurer will be in the next seat? We get it.
